WU Yingzhe. 2012. About the new materials of Xiao dilu and Yelü xiangwen epitaph in the Khitan Small Script. Altai hakpo 22. 111-119.
The Altaic Society of Korea.
The Epitaph of Xiao Dilu and Yelü Xiangwen
in the Khitan Small Script preserved
in the Ethnic Museum of Inner Mongolia University were
published by Prof. Juha Janhunen and me in England in 2010. However, Liu
Fengzhu who is a research fellow at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences has
published articles on Zhongguo Shehui
Kexuebao last year and argued that the epitaphs are not original Khitan
Small Script documents but recent forgeries made by a person or persons well
versed in the Khitan language and scripts. These epitaphs, like all the other
previously published Khitan texts, are certainly genuine samples of Khitan
writing from the context of the Liao Empire. According to previously published
Khitan materials, the author explains why research fellow Liu Fengzhu is
mistaken when he regards our two documents as forgeries in detail, so that to avoid
his mistaken claim mislead some readers to think that he is right.
