The phrase research is an important research topic for language information processing. Research on the phrases of English and Chinese has got a great development, which provides NLP systems with efficient knowledge. The phrase research for Mongolian language information processing (MLIP) began in the early 1990s. In recent years, it has further development. With the support of NSFC and NPOPSS, we have done the phrase segmentation and tagging in Mongolian corpus. At present, we are analyzing all types of the Mongolian phrases to summarize and describe the structural rules of the phrases in Mongolian corpus on the basis of original research works in order to construct a bank of Mongolian phrase structure rule. In this paper, the author describes the features of Mongolian [X+BVP] phrases including POS features, morphological features, structural types and the corresponding relations between the two types of PT structure and SF structure. Based on these works, the author concludes a set of phrase structure rules for Mongolian [X+BVP] phrases.
