Dear Sir/Madam,


On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for your cooperation for the Conference and also would like to confirm the followings as the preparation for the conference progresses:

1. Program: The major program contents will be uploaded to our web site (http://plaza.snu.ac.kr/~altai) in early August 2002. Therefore please visit the web site and at what time you are scheduled to read paper.

2. Publication of Proceedings: We are planning to collect all the manuscripts in advance and publish them in one volume for distribution on the first day of the conference. Accordingly, all papers must be received before September 20 at the latest by email, as an attachment in MS Word format. As there is no time for proofreading, please send a hard copy of paper with your e-mail attached file. If you used special font(for example IPA symbols), please send us font file also. 

To accommodate speedy publication we therefore ask that all papers follow a unified guideline:
Amount: 10-15 pages A4; Time: aiming for 25 minutes.  
Font: Times New Roman; Font size 10; Single line spacing
Margins: MS Word standard settings
Page numbers; Bottom, center
Notes: Numbered footnotes (bottom of each page)  


3. Flight fee:
I am sorry to inform you that the Altaic Society of Korea doesn't support participant's flight fee. 

4. Accommodations:
We have reserved participant's room at Hoam Faculty House(Hotel) in Seoul National University from Oct 20 to Oct 23. Two persons per room, W27,000($23) per night, per person. Breakfast is not included. If you want to stay longer, please inform us and make us to reserve.

5. Registration:
On arrival at Hoam Hotel all participants should register themselves and pay their respective fees.(W20,000).

6. Transportations;
It takes about 90 minutes from Inchon International Airport to Seoul National University. You can also find way to the University in our web site.

7. Cultural excursion:
On Oct 23, an all day cultural study trip is being planned. The fee is free to all participants.
